The Earth Being's three main projectsFirst of all, The Earth Being wants to create opportunities for people who want to take part in all kinds of projects : humanitarian, ecological or other kinds related to our mission. We want to reunite these people with others who are searching for human ressources such as collaborators, helpers, volunteers for the purpose of developping projects. This contact system will be implemented on the website. Currently, this part of the website - the Contact Center - is under construction. The Earth Being works very hard to make it a reality as soon as possible. If you are a member of a project or organization and are searching for volunteers, you can contact us and we will put an advertisement on the website for you until the Contact Center is ready. Second, we want to create a large reference center for information on all subjects related to our mission. The Earth Being wants to gather articles, book critics, lecture notes, everything that can be of interest to people curious about life. We are looking for your collaboration on this section! All members of the website can post articles which will be published on the here after approbation by the reading comitee. Write about your favorite subjects! Visit the Information Portal for access to our library. Finally, we also organize more local-oriented activities. Discussion sessions, live forums, workshops, courses and trainings are offered. We currently are most active in the Montreal (Canada) region, the founders' original location. We would like to reproduce theses activities in all cities where our collaborators are numerous and active. Contact us for more information about activities. Become a member of The Earth BeingYou can obtain membership of The Earth Being. To do so, you should create a login (see the My Account section). After your subscription to the website, send an e-mail to The Earth Being to officially become a member. Members can participe in General Meetings and suggest ideas of projects, express their opinions and vote for the administrators. Members are also kept informed of the activities of The Earth Being in their area. The membership is totally free. The Earth Being's administrative structureThe administrative structure of the organization is divided into three levels. First one consists of the members. The latter meet each year at the time of the Annual General Assembly (G.A.). Several points are dicussed in this meeting, of which a feedback on annual finances, a report on the evolution of the projects in progress, the election of the Council Administrators (A.C.) and the appointment of an financial inspector for the following year. The members have to express their opinion and to vote the future A.C. The second level is the Administrative Council (A.C.). The Council is elected at the time of the G.A. by the members and has two principal tasks during the year to follow. On the one hand, it must manage the financial issues of the association, on the other hand, it must organize the General Annual Assembly and the Extraordinary Assemblies. The Organization Council (O.C.) represents the third level. The latter has the role of conveying and of advancing the files in progress. It can vote new projects, make them evolve and take decisions relating to the Association. All the financial requests must however be approved by the A.C. The O.C. is formed of the members which are present at the C.O. meetings. If you wish to know more about the administrative structure of the organization, don't hesitate to contact us. The Earth Being's financingIn order to carry out the projects and to offer services to the members, the organization needs financing. It is possible to make a donation to The Earth Being. If you wish to do one, you can contact the organization by phone, postal mail or by e-mail. To invest your time instead of money in the organization, have a look at the Participation section. |
